Members’ Halloween Party: UNFunfair
There’s something strange going on, smiles no longer reach the staff’s eyes, seemingly controlled by something greater…something strange is going on…enter if you dare!
On the 30th of October, it was said that autumn leaves swept nervously through the dark of Portman Square and passers-by glared, unsure what may have happened to the House, on Portman Square…
Some say the House was possessed, others say infested with fear; as one by one and three by three, like zombies, all members entered the UnFunfair.
Hidden in the depths of our dingy decadence, members feasted like ravaging beasts in both The Restaurant and The Octagon Dining Room, which served a devilish 3 course menu for those who were hungry for the horror of delights on the menu for the evening. Whilst some members scattered the Haunted House and danced with broken dolls in House 21, others amused their sordid intrigue at our Secret Sideshow Supper.
Crafted by the Puppet Master himself Chris Fitchew, the ‘Kabaret of Khaos’ was a hand selected, no-strings-attached treat of side show stars from the likes of London’s Box, New York’s Coney Island, Paris’ Crazy Horse and Berlin’s Kit Kat. The ’girl, girls, girls’ and wonderful freak entertainment over a top notch dinner was both a feast for the stomach and eyes.

The party was a roller coaster that offered no safety bars. Those who tried to escape the ride and seek normality in The Drawing Rooms were faced with the Mirror Room of Horrors, revealing each and every member’s fantastic attire that can be spotted on Facebook for all to admire.
To no surprise, the tickets sold-out, the glasses of champagne were far too many and the survivor’s breakfast was mandatory. For those who missed out on tickets and didn’t jump on the human ghost train, make sure to stay tuned for what the New Year brings.
