Twenty Years of Music: Chris Difford of Squeeze

EVENT INFORMATION

A true favourite of ours, we are delighted that Chris has agreed to appear in our programme of music events.

The paperback of his book, ‘Some Fantastic Place’ is released this month, this combined with the celebrations at Home House brings him to the stage.

Chris will be telling stores and singing songs from the Squeeze catalogue and from his own solo albums, it’s a show that he has been selling out on the road for the last
few months, he feels very blessed.

His story started way back in 1973 when Chris first met his songwriting partner in
Squeeze – Glenn Tilbrook, there is so much to be proud of.

One of London’s best-loved bands, the Squeeze co-founder has made a lasting contribution to English music with hits such as ‘Cool For Cats’, ‘Up The Junction’, ‘Labelled With Love’, ‘Hourglass’ and ‘Tempted’. Despite the fact that Chris has helped soundtrack so many fans’ lives since his first release in 1977, the passion for innovation and love of playing still drives him to carry on writing rather than sit back and admire his handiwork.

Outside of his life in the band there are so many more stories to tell, as you will hear on the night.
