The Silk Road

Throughout history, Eurasia was criss-crossed with trade routes across both land and sea, along which silk and many other goods were exchanged. Travellers of many different nationalities resulted not only in commercial exchange, but in a continuous and widespread process of cultural interaction.

We are delighted to welcome founder of Xped Global, Emile Waite Taylor to host this fascinating talk. Emile is a hugely experienced and passionate adventurer. He has been delivering off-road expeditions around the world for many 10 years; visiting over 140 countries and as one of the greatest travel routes in history, the Silk Road has drawn Emile back for numerous journeys.

He looks forward to sharing his favourite anecdotes, images and totally unique off-the beaten track experiences from this mysterious part of the world.

Cost: £5 member, £10 guest (all monies to our charity, The Marylebone Project)
