Founded in 1766 by James Christie, Christie’s has since conducted the greatest and most celebrated auctions through the centuries providing a popular showcase for the unique and the beautiful. With around 350 auctions annually in over 80 categories, including all areas of fine and decorative arts, jewellery, collectibles, wine, and more, Christie’s auction prices range from $200 to over $100 million.

 

Join Stefano Amoretti, Associate Specialist, Co-Head of Day Auction, Post-War and Contemporary Art, and Martina Mangialardi, Client Representative Christie’s London and learn everything about the process behind an auction and the current market of contemporary art. The experts will take you on a journey from the very first step of the estimate of a lot up to its sale, live or online, with a special insight of how a specialist looks at work of art and defines its value with examples from an ongoing online only auction.
