Handel House - a private concert and tour
Date : Tuesday 30 April 2013
Location : Handel House, W1
Time : 18:30 PM
This event is now fully booked.
Join Rose Balston of Art History UK at No 25 Brook Street - home to the great baroque composer George Frederic Handel from 1723 until his death in 1759.
We will be treated to a private harpsichord concert in the very room where Handel rehearsed and performed - a wonderfully inspiring occasion. The only composer museum in London, this landmark address is where Handel composed some of the greatest music in history, including Messiah, Zadok the Priest and Music for the Royal Fireworks.
Before the concert, we will take a tour of the beautiful Georgian rooms, time travelling back to the fascinating world of 18th century London.
Advance payment required, spaces very limited, member + 1 guest, tickets non refundable
Cost: £50 per person.
Meet at Handel House at 6.30pm. The evening will finish around 8.30pm.
