Join this merry group of bookworms to discuss February’s title over wine and canapés in the candlelit ambience of the Etruscan Room.

This month’s title is ‘Down and Out in Paris and London’ by George Orwell.

About the book:
It is a memoir in two parts on the theme of poverty in the two cities.  The first part is an account of
living on the breadline in Paris and the experience of casual labour in restaurant kitchens.

No RSVP, complimentary for members and up to 3 guests.

And to get ahead, the title for March is ‘Disgrace’ by Jim Coetzee.
