Book Club
EVENT INFORMATION
Ever wondered why you should come along to a ‘Book Club’?
Here are five good reasons:
· You meet interesting people.
· You read things that you wouldn’t otherwise read.
· Some books need to be discussed.
· Enjoy wine and canapés in a candlelit ambience
· Sometimes it’s fun just to chat!
So…start the new year off to a conscientious start and come along!
This month’s title is ‘Candide’ by Voltaire. The novella was first published in 1759 by Voltaire, a philosopher of the Age of Enlightenment – so Home House, a property of the period is the perfect
setting to analyse the piece.
No RSVP, complimentary for members and up to 3 guests.
And to get ahead, the title for February is ‘Down and Out in Paris and London’ by George Orwell.
Time/Location: 7.45pm, Etruscan Room
