EVENT INFORMATION

Join art historian and TV presenter Rose Balston for a Valentine’s romp through one of the sauciest periods of art history. Step aside Bridgerton, this is the Rococo at its finest – a period of art packed full of drama, titillation and hidden meaning. Rose will explore images by Watteau, Bouçher and Fragonard – artists of playful depictions of love and sex that brilliantly uncover the secrets and scandal of Louis XV’s France.

This talk is the first in Rose’s “Storytellers of the 18th Century” series – seven talks on European 18th century art. Talks are on Sundays, 4pm, starting on 14th February 2021 and finishing on 28th March. You can buy tickets for for all talks on the Artscapes website, quoting your discount code HOMEHOUSE.
