A Rehearsed Reading of ‘A Right Pickle’ by Antony Zaki
EVENT INFORMATION
Another popular rehearsed reading of a new play by writer/director Antony Zaki.
Antony Zaki presents: “A TRIVIAL COMEDY FOR SERIOUS PEOPLE”, a rehearsed reading of A RIGHT PICKLE.
A RIGHT PICKLE is a comedy of manners and ill manners. The super-rich Indian family, the Gandhis, are one of the success stories of the British Indian diaspora. Their empire is now a global enterprise, run by the daughter.
The luxurious home, governed by the English butler Christopher, is the setting for the family’s shenanigans. A philandering son, Naveen, a dreamer of a father, Swaraj, a workaholic daughter, Mira and the mother, Padma, determined to get her married off to a suitably rich Indian family create hilarious results.
Thrown into the mix in the English butler’s clandestine love for the daughter. Something no one suspects, least of all the mother.
